🔹 The word "portal" carries a lot of baggage these days thanks to college athletics. As player movement trickles down into youth sports, one question keeps coming up… Is this creating a new problem or simply organizing one that already existed?

🔹 One criticism is that it encourages "team hopping." Sean pushes back on that idea, arguing families have always found guest-playing opportunities. The goal isn't to create ringers...it's to keep teams from having to forfeit tournaments because they're missing a few players.

🔹 One of Sean's biggest takeaways: "Parents still have to parent." No app can replace common sense. Like any tool, Pickup Portal depends on how adults choose to use it.
